The King is Dead: A Night in Sin City The
Grand Cinema Hotel in Las Vegas is holding a special night for high
rollers. Everyone has sauntered through the casino and into
the theatre for a swanky show. The music starts, a spotlight
comes on, and the curtain rises. The hotel's very own Elvis
stands, mic in hand ready to perform when a shot echoes through the
dark hall. Elvis falls. It takes a moment for the
crowd to realize this isn't part of the act, but when they finally do
they know they've all become suspects.
In
the dark room, 8 students sit, awaiting the presence of their
headmaster, Mr. Price. The hollow footsteps slowly get louder
and louder, as the headmaster approaches, and every student turns
towards the door. From the door, the shadows produce a middle
aged man, strong and tall, with brown hair and a shabby
beard. The students, gathered for the sake of celebration,
for they all have qualified for the National Language Contest, are
confused when Mr. Price walks in with not awards cradled in his hands,
but papers. The words Mr. Price gives shocks all of the
students, for they never expected this to happen, "Mrs. Tolan is dead,
and one of you is responsible."

even take the stage one of their own is found dead, the beautiful
technowhiz Blue Shadow. Could one of the super-heroes actually be a
super-villain?
A

alive that is. Taking artwork to a new height Ronnie appears to have
committed suicide and is found hung from the ceiling surrounded by
empty bottles of expensive champagne. Beside him is a small
plaque which reads: "Pickled Artist". As a career move it
certainly increases the value of his sales - but did he really commit
suicide, or was he in fact executed by one of the guests?
Waskar
night is an evening filled with glitz and glamour; a time to celebrate

he didn't just die of a coronary, but something far more
sinister. The staff and regular visitors of the interstate
services have therefore been detained within the premises to help solve
the Murder.

latest production to be put on by the Gusset-on-Navel Amateur Dramatic
Society is an adult version of the pantomime Aladdin and the final
dress rehearsal is about to take place. The Producer and Director Harry
Stoke-Ratt has climbed up into the lighting gantry to set up the stage
lighting for the rehearsal but he mysteriously falls to his death. Host
